How to Copy an Instagram Audio Link and Get the MP3

An Instagram audio link is the link of a Reel or video that uses the sound you want. Instagram does not give you a separate file link for audio, so the usual way is to copy the link of the video itself. You can then share that link, or paste it into a website to save the audio as an MP3.

How to copy an Instagram audio link

1. Open the Reel or video in Instagram.
2. Tap the share icon (the paper plane) next to the video.
3. Tap Copy link. Menus can look a little different depending on your app version.
4. Paste the link into a message, a note or the address bar of your browser.

How to find the audio page of a Reel

Many Reels show the sound name at the bottom of the video. Tap that name to open the audio page, where you can see other Reels that use the same sound and save it inside the app. This is useful if you want to reuse the sound in your own Reel. It does not give you an MP3 file.

How to turn the link into an MP3

If you want the sound as a file on your phone or computer, copy the link of the video as shown above and then download the audio from that link. Paste the link into the box, tap Download, and save the MP3 when it starts. It works in your browser, with no app and no Instagram login.

Finding the name of a song in a Reel

If you only want to know what song is playing, the sound name at the bottom of the Reel is the first place to look. If the Reel shows only "Original audio" and a username, the sound was recorded by that creator and has no song title. In that case a music recognition app can help you identify the song while the Reel plays.

Which links work

• Reel or video link: works, if the account is public.
• Link of a profile: does not work. Copy the link of one video.
• Private account: only public videos and Reels can be processed.

If the link does not work

• Link opens a profile: go back and copy the link from the share icon of one Reel.
• Download does not start: allow the download if your browser asks, check your free storage, or try another browser.
