How to Download Photos from Instagram
Instagram shows photos but does not give you a download button. InstaLoadr takes the photos from a public post link, so you get normal image files that you can keep on your phone or computer.
On Android and iPhone
Copy the post link from the Instagram app, open this page in your browser, paste the link and press Download. The photo is saved to your Downloads folder or Files app. On an iPhone you can add it to Photos from the share menu.
On a computer
Open the post in your browser, copy the address from the address bar, paste it in the box at the top and download the image. No extension or software is needed.
Posts with several photos
If a post is a carousel, every photo is listed as its own frame. Save the ones you want, or use the zip button to get them all at once.
Only download photos you have the right to use. A photo belongs to the person who posted it, so keep it for personal use or ask for permission before sharing it.
How to Save an Instagram Photo
- Copy the post link. Open the post in Instagram, tap the share icon, then Copy link.
- Paste it here. Paste the link in the box at the top of this page and press Download.
- Save the photo. Each photo in the post shows up as its own frame. Download the one you want, or all of them as a zip.
Questions
Can I download a photo from Instagram without an app?
Yes. Paste the link of a public post into the box above and download the image in your browser. You do not need an app or an account.
Does it work for carousel posts with many photos?
Yes. Each photo of a public carousel is listed separately, so you can save one or several.
Does it work for private accounts?
No. Only public posts can be fetched. For a private account or a removed post you will see an error.
Is it free? Do I need to log in?
It is free. You do not need an Instagram account or a login.
Where is the photo saved on my phone?
It goes to your Downloads folder or your Files app, depending on the phone and browser. On an iPhone you can then add it to Photos from the share menu.
Can I use the photos I download?
The photo belongs to the person who posted it. Download it for personal use or with their permission, and give credit if you share it.
Why did I get an error?
Check that the link opens a public post in your browser and that you copied the full link. If the post is public and it still fails, try again in a minute.
